Ray comes to the De Castroverde Law Group following a distinguished career in law enforcement, most recently retiring as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Las Vegas field office. He spent over 20 years as a Special Agent with the FBI, after serving eight years as a police officer in the State of Ohio.
As a skilled attorney and chief legal counsel for multiple FBI field offices, Ray has led complex criminal investigations and managed critical incident responses across the United States. These have included reactive mass casualty events as well as preplanned global affairs like New Year’s Eve, the Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix, and the Super Bowl.
Ray is a proud veteran of both the state and federal law enforcement communities, where he has been actively involved in federal, state, and local executive teams. He has a knack for analyzing complex details and ensuring compliance with law, policy, and procedure, regardless of the topic.
He has mediated international legal charters to litigate political corruption in newly formed democratic countries. Ray also served as a combat advisor for Operation Enduring Freedom, aiding in the development and formation of a democratic model of government for Iraq.
Known for his compassionate, whole-person approach when responding to tragedy, Ray excels in supporting individuals involved in highly stressful and traumatic incidents, focusing on immediate needs while also ensuring personalized support is available.
Outside of work, Ray is a dedicated family man, an avid motorcyclist, and an instructor at UNLV as well as a certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoach. He brings the same dedication and passion to his personal life as he does to the De Castroverde Law Group.
