Take the Family Outside at These Parks Near Summerlin
With summer comes heat, but there are great parks to visit before the temperature becomes unbearable during the day. Not forgetting that most Summerlin parks have great splash pads to help you beat the heat. So, look at some of the top parks near Summerlin that you could take your family to this summer. These parks are fun places for your kids to enjoy the outdoors.
The Arbors Tennis & Play Park
The Arbors Tennis & Play Park is located in Arbors Village in Summerlin North. It features five lighted tennis courts (including a stadium court), a pro shop, and tennis professionals on-site. It is also home to the Summerlin Tennis Club. It has a dedicated kids’ play area — the “Arborville” — with a basketball court, a picnic pavilion, and a green space.
- Location: 610 Sageberry Drive, Las Vegas.
- Time: 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
The Hills Park
The Hills Park is a 7-acre park with a large central picnic pavilion, an open lawn amphitheater, and a stage. Also included are a children’s play area, a sand volleyball court, two lighted tennis courts, a half-baseball court, and seven picnic ramadas. It has a large space in the grass for activities, lots of shade from trees, and good walking areas.

- Time: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
Paseos Park
Paseos Park is located in the center of The Paseos and spans 12.5 acres. It features a lighted basketball court, a sand volleyball court, soccer and tee-ball fields, a splash pad, a motorized play area, and a grass play area. It also has trails that connect to the Summerlin Trail System.
- Location: 12122 Desert Moon Road, Las Vegas.
- Time: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
The Vistas Park
The Vistas Park is located in Summerlin West in the Vistas Village and spans 24 acres. It features a lighted sports area, including softball fields, a football field, tennis and basketball courts, and an extensive picnic pavilion.
Close to Vistas Park is the Vistas Community Center, the fourth community center in Summerlin. It features meeting rooms with patios for events, classes, and community activities. It is also home to the third residents-only pool.

- Time: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
North Tower Park
The North Tower Park is a 7-acre park located on the northern edge of The Vistas. It features open play areas, two children’s play areas, and picnic and BBQ areas. It has a lot of grassy areas and big trees to offer ample shade around the park.

- Time: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
Oak Leaf Park
Located in the Cliffs Village, in Summerlin South, the Oak Leaf Park spans over 5 acres. It is one of the newest parks in Summerlin, featuring four pickleball courts, a climbing tower, two shaded playgrounds, an open play area, a central lawn, a demonstration garden, and shaded picnic pavilions.
- Location: 6401 Farness St., Las Vegas.
- Time: 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
The Pueblo Park
Featuring a desert interpretive garden, Pueblo Park is a 60-acre linear park worth visiting. It has two children’s play areas, a 4-foot-wide jogging track, an 8-foot-wide multi-use path, a basketball court, natural areas, an exercise station, and open play areas. The park also features multiple seating areas around the playgrounds with plenty of shade.
- Location: 7663 W. Lake Mead Blvd., Las Vegas.
- Time: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
The Gardens Park
The Gardens Park is an 18-acre park and sports facility in Summerlin South with a 6,500-square-foot community center. It has lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, a horseshoe court, bocce, picnic pavilions, a sand volleyball court, and a children’s play area.
- Location: 10401 Garden Park Drive, Las Vegas.
- Time: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
Fox Hill Park
Fox Hill Park is one of the best parks in Summerlin and one of the most popular places to visit in the Paseos Village. It is an 18-acre adventure park with 20-plus play structures, including a 32-foot climbing tower, a zip line, a frisbee golf course, a spinning machine, swings, and a climbing tower — the “Orange Beast.” It is ideal for the entire family, especially if you have small children.

- Time: 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Saturday
The South Tower Park
South Tower Park is located in the Vistas Village. It features two shaded play areas, swings, a picnic and BBQ area, a spray basin, and open play areas. It has lots of tree shade covering the playgrounds.

- Time: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.
Bruce Trent Park
Bruce Trent Park is a spacious park with lots of trees providing abundant shade. The park has several amenities, including a fitness course, reservable picnic areas, a splash pad, tennis courts, jogging and walking trails, barbecue grills, and plenty of open space for various other activities. It hosts a weekly Farmer’s Market every Thursday.
- Location: 8851 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas.
- Time: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.
