Teacher Appreciation Award in Washoe and Clark CountiesThe Teacher Appreciation Awards is a bi-annual event that allows us to engage with the community and celebrate the teachers who are nominated by students and fellow staff as the best teachers in the district. We hold this competition in both Clark County, LV, and Washoe County, Reno.

Please Note:

Even if you’ve already nominated a teacher during our previous rounds, you can nominate them again. Choosing just three winners from such a large pool of qualified candidates twice a year is difficult, so please continue highlighting the teachers you feel are doing an exceptional job. The only teachers that are not eligible are those who have previously received a prize.

Alex’s wife was a first-grade teacher and speech pathologist for the district. In addition, Alex and Orlando’s sister is currently a first-grade teacher at a public school in Las Vegas.
