Henderson, Nevada, has a variety of entertainment options just about everywhere you look, including plenty of outstanding golf courses. The next time you want to hit the links, you can be sure of a great game at one of these top golf courses around Henderson.

Chimera Golf Club

Henderson, LV Golf

Location : 901 Olivia Parkway, Henderson.

Hours : Open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Designed by Ted Robinson in 2003, Chimera Golf Club boasts a playable desert landscape that offers a unique challenge to golfers of all skill levels. The natural rolling terrain on the course provides unbeatable views of the Las Vegas Strip, Mount Charleston, and the surrounding desert. This 18-hole public course reaches 6,757 yards for a par of 72. Plus, traditional golf isn’t the only activity available at Chimera Golf Club. The course is also open to FlingGolf and FootGolf.

FlingGolf is an exciting new spin on the sport. Instead of hitting the ball using conventional clubs, you use the FlingStick thrower to hurl the ball from tee to hole. Chimera Golf Club also has a specialized course for FootGolf, which is a family-friendly sport that combines aspects of golf and soccer into one thrilling game.

Before your game, you can warm up at the driving range. After you’re done playing, you can head to Slice 19 Grill & Bar to relax with a cold drink and some delicious food. Chimera Golf Club also has a shop fully stocked with everything you need, including men’s and women’s apparel, golf balls, clubs, accessories, snacks, and drinks.

Reflection Bay Golf Club

Location : 75 Montelago Blvd., Henderson.

Hours : Open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Located near the sparkling waters of Lake Las Vegas, Reflection Bay Golf Club is the first public resort golf course in Nevada designated as a prestigious Jack Nicklaus Signature Design. The course was created in 1998 by Nicklaus Design, which is a golf course design firm founded by golf legend Jack Nicklaus. Since then, the course has received numerous awards from Golf Magazine and Golf Digest. The 7,261-yard par-72 course winds through the desert as it plays around arroyos, three waterfalls, and the lake’s shoreline.

The grand clubhouse features a full golf shop with a wide selection of gear, apparel, and accessories from all of the top brands in golf. In addition to selling the newest clubs and equipment, the shop also rents clubs if you don’t have your own. If you get hungry during your visit, the clubhouse has a full-service kitchen and bar. Be sure to get a seat on the beautiful outdoor patio to take in the amazing views of the surrounding area.

Desert Willow Golf Course

Location : 2020 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson.

Hours : Open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Desert Willow Golf Course is considered one of the most challenging executive golf courses in Southern Nevada. The 18-hole, par-60 course was designed by Billy Casper and Greg Nash. The private course is open to the public and rests in the foothills of Black Mountain. It features rolling greens, demanding sand traps, hilly terrain, and water that you have to navigate around on three holes. While the course will test your abilities, it was also one of the first in the state to offer junior tees, which also makes it family-friendly.

If you want to get in some practice before starting your game, Desert Willow has a driving range with artificial striking mats, target poles, and well-marked yardage plates. It also offers a sand and chipping practice area and a putting green that’s very similar to the greens on the course. After your round of golf, be sure to stop by the Willow Restaurant and Bar to unwind with outstanding food and drinks.

Revere Golf Club

Location : 22600 Hampton Road, Henderson.

Hours : Open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tucked in the rugged canyons and valleys of the foothills of the McCullough Range, the Revere Golf Club provides breathtaking views of the Las Vegas skyline and the mountains. The public golf club has two impressive courses available to play.

The first 18-hole championship course was The Lexington, which opened on April 17, 1999 — the same night as Paul Revere’s famous ride. This stunning par-72 layout will test your abilities with its unique blend of obstacles. The second 18-hole championship course, The Concord, opened on June 1, 2002. The Concord received its name because Paul Revere made his ride from the town of Lexington to the town of Concord. The Concord course has a par-72 layout that offers large greens and Bermuda fairways.

After your game, there’s no better place to relax than Buckman’s Grille. This restaurant features panoramic views of the surrounding golf course and the Las Vegas Strip. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has a variety of menu selections, so everyone can find something they enjoy.

Wildhorse Golf Course

Location : 2100 W. Warm Springs Road, Henderson.

Hours : Open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wildhorse Golf Course is known for having one of the most difficult holes in Southern Nevada. The course was originally developed in 1959 and was one of the first courses built in the area. It was then redesigned in 2004 by architects Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt. In addition to featuring several holes located next to shimmering water, the par-4 ninth hole was named the toughest hole in the area by Vegas Golfer Magazine.

Along with the par-70 course, the municipally owned Wildhorse also has a practice facility with a chipping green, putting green, and sand bunker. It’s also home to Terrace on the Greens, a full-service restaurant and bar that’s open for breakfast and lunch.
